The Vibram rubber injection outsoles have been designed with areas for grip, traction, braking and stability. The outsoles have been ballistic welded onto the uppers, so they will not part easily.
The uppers have been created with abrasion and scuff resistant Lyliane 3DMX and Cordura materials, so you can take these off-road and not worry about what happens on the way. You can wear these for long distances in comfort, walking on the removable cushioned anatomic insoles, your feet and ankles are supported with padding on the tongue and around the collar.
These are lab tested waterproof, with waterproof seams, a sealed tongue and a special breathable waterproof membrane that does not allow water penetration. Put on and take off easily with the finger tab, using the high-grade laces threaded through lace hooks that are long lasting and allow smooth lace sliding.
WVSport models are designed and produced in the foothills of the Dolomite Hills, Italy.
Each model is created using CAD design technology that simulates the different phases of the walking experience.
Advanced components and construction methods are used to create the models like the use of Vibram soles and a patented Support System which means the fit is always comfortable and secure.
Development samples are lab tested for days for their abrasion resistance, durability and water resistance. New models can take months sometimes years to develop.

Ethics & Sustainability
The factory used to product WVSport models features one of the largest photovoltaic plants in Italy which means that 70% of the power used to produce WVSport footwear is from solar.
As well as working under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law the factory has their own Charter of Human Responsibilities (or Code of Ethics) which helps ensure the company is committed to respecting the rights, work and dignity of its employees.
For sourcing the materials to create each model WVS work with the factory using a traceability system that enables them to trace back every step in the production process so they always know what has been used and where it has come from.
Materials and Fabrics Most of Will's footwear and accessories are made from Italian bio-based vegan leather made from plants (cereal crops).
The latest version contains 69% bio-oil and a viscose (a natural material from eucalyptus trees) backing fabric.
This material does have 31% polyurethane in its composition, so there is still some plastic. Because of the nature of the material, it is not biodegradable, but it is recyclable. With WVS you can also use their return to recycle service when this product's at its end of life.
None of their products use PVC or PFCs.
WVS are always looking for even more sustainable alternatives. Materials such as Pinatex, apple, or mushroom leather still come with challenges (such as PU coatings). They are constantly researching and looking out for new developments across the globe and hope that time, and technology will provide more breakthroughs.

Care info
Vegan leather uppers
Clean the uppers and outsoles with warm soapy water and a cloth or brush.
Dry down thoroughly with a towel.
Polish can be used to bring out a shine and return the colour. Any synthetic product should work just fine. Apply as described in the instructions.
If your footwear has a burnished effect on the toes and sides (WVS apply a darker polish to some of thei brown vegan leather uppers for effect) this is best reapplied by a cobbler or it can be done at home by using a darker shade of polish around the toes and sides of the footwear.
You can treat the uppers with a waterproofing spray to improve durability, stain resistance and water resistance.
WVS recommend doing this every 2-3 months with their waterproof products, depending on usage.
Do not let your footwear stay damp between wears (especially inside the boots), as this can damage the water resistance and create an environment for microbes to develop in the footwear, which can cause a smell to develop.
If this happens, thoroughly dry the footwear and use a footwear deodoriser until the smell stops. In extreme cases, you may need to wash out the insides of the footwear with warm soapy water. Once you have done this, thoroughly dry them out and apply the footwear deodoriser.
You can dry your footwear directly on top of a radiator or near to another heat source. Depending on the heat source, it can take a few days to dry out the inside of our footwear completely.
Do not wash in the washing machine.
Vegan suede uppers
Wait until dry, then brush with a suede brush or something similar.
You can clean with warm, soapy water and a cloth or brush for more extreme cases.
Dry down the uppers with a towel.
You should not expect water marks as the material does not mark or stain like conventional suede when wet.
You can treat the uppers with a waterproofing spray to improve durability, stain resistance and water resistance.
