WVS don’t believe in doing something to protect animals whilst harming humans and the planet. They are a slow fashion brand. They plan for all their styles to be a permanent part of the collection, just like they design them to be a permanent part of your wardrobe. They don't make products for a season or fashion but to last. They focus on creating high-quality vegan shoes, vegan accessories and vegan clothing, sold for a reasonable price. Everything they make and do is Carbon Neutral. Through independent assessment under the Carbon Neutral Protocol-from making their vegan products, operating their online vegan store, to shipping your parcel, they know their total carbon emissions for the year.
In 2020 they invested in nature-based offsetting projects like avoiding deforestation in Papua New Guinea and Columbia to offset their carbon emissions to zero. 

They are also working hard at increasing the number of natural materials that thwy use. For example, they recently introduced their fully biodegradable LDN Sneakers, which have been over a year in the making, working with leading shoe component manufacturers across Europe to create one of the most sustainable shoes on the planet. It’s not been an easy journey. Many solutions they have developed to create a pair of fully biodegradable sneakers have not been seen before. These sneakers are literally at the cutting edge of sustainable footwear.

They are putting the lessons learned from the development of these sneakers into other models, such as the linings, insoles and outsoles. They hope to introduce more models soon, giving a natural alternative for all their key models.

Sadly, right now, there is no vegan leather or suede available that is made from natural materials. Even materials such as Pinatex, apple, or mushroom leather have a polyurethane coating. They are constantly researching and looking out for new developments across the globe and hope over time, and technology will provide more breakthroughs.
