PEOPLE
yoke are proud to partner with Olenka Atelier in London who pay fair wages and put ethics, their people and sustainability at the heart of everything they do.
Producing locally also enables yoke to run small batches, eliminating over-production.
PLANET
yoke strive to have as low an impact on the planet as possible.
They only use natural fibers, so all of their garments will biodegrade in a landfill environment.
By using deadstock fabrics they reduce industry waste.
They also use natural trims wherever possible.
-Corozo buttons made from shell
-Elastic made from a rubber cotton mix
-All garments have organic cotton labels
-All packaging is biodegradable and recyclable
ANIMALS
The mohair used in yoke's wool pieces is cruelty free and RMS certified.
The Responsible Mohair Standard aims to improve the welfare of goats and the land they graze on, and is a voluntary standard that requires all sites, from farms through to the seller in the final business-to-business transaction, to be certified.
RMS farmers and ranchers are evaluated against animal welfare, land management, and social requirements set in the standard.
