ORGANIC COTTON

All cotton is GOTS certified organic to the manufacturing stage. Organic farming creates healthy soils and means our rivers, lakes and drinking water are kept cleaner too.

Conventional cotton uses 16% of all insecticide sold worldwide.

TENCEL

Their jersey is 67% Tencel, which is derived from natural raw material wood, with production processes that minimise environmental impact.

The fabric was awarded a European Award for the Environment in 2000.

The jersey is produced in Portugal.

LACE

The lace in the Tempest collection is woven for them in France with 80% organic cotton and 20% recycled nylon.

ORGANIC BAMBOO

Wldness use organic bamboo viscose.

The lack of pesticides, the speed of growth of bamboo and lack of large amounts of water used in its production make it a planet friendly fabric, (even though there room to improve in terms of the chemicals used to create it)

Their supplier uses closed loop production reducing waste and enviornmental impact. The end product fabric does biodegrade and can be recycled.

THREAD

All the thread used in their production is OEKO TEX certified by the supplier.

COMPONENTS & ELASTICS

90% of their elastics are produced in Europe. Wildness currently don’t have access to major producers’ eco ranges as they require a massive order and the prices from smaller manufacturers are not viable for them at the moment but this is something they are working towards.

All metal components are manufactured in France.

OEKO TEX DYES

The dyehouse WILDNESS use in Italy uses only environmentally approved OEKO TEX certified dyes.

Previously dyed fabrics sourced are also certified OEKO TEX.

LABELS

All labels are sewn with recycled nylon thread
