PEOPLE
Inspired by founder Alice’s real-life challenges of balancing work and motherhood, the brand understands the importance of flexibility, which is why they’ve created a company culture that supports those with caring responsibilities.
The team operates on a flexible schedule, allowing everyone to thrive both at work and at home. They offer part-time roles around school hours for true flexibility.
Manufacturing takes place at a factory in London, where the team is frequently present in person—ensuring ethical labour practices and fair wages.
The Female Archetypes designs with an “authentic women first” ethos, creating pieces not for unrealistic models but for the diverse, beautiful, and authentic women who wear them. Each garment is crafted to support you in all the roles you play every day—giving you the confidence and style you deserve.

PLANET
The Female Archetypes believe that true sustainability starts at home. That’s why all their garments are proudly made in London, using ethical practices and premium fabrics.
Their commitment to sustainability is reflected in a small-batch production approach, ensuring each piece is exquisitely made to last—reducing waste and the need for frequent replacements. From sourcing fabrics directly from mills to using deadstock, every step of their process is designed to minimise environmental impact.
The majority of their garments are made from fabric already in existence. They only produce new fabric when absolutely necessary—and only in the specific meterage required. Stock is produced in small batches, with more made only when an item has sold out.
All garments are adjustable, which eliminates the need for excessive size runs and reduces the likelihood of customers buying multiple sizes. They don’t produce seasonal collections, avoiding the need to create stock purely for the sake of ‘newness’.
They also minimise shipping (no air freight) by shipping fabric just once to the UK, rather than sending it to manufacturers overseas and back again. Their warehouse is located a short distance from their factory in London.

The Female Archetypes garments are free from animal products.
