PEOPLE
KOHR'S suppliers source fabric from Turkey, Portugal, Germany, India and China. All of which are GOTS certified mills and factories. This means that checks are made to ensure safe working practices.
They also conduct regular checks, visits and monitoring of all their factories and mills. KOHR are in regular communication with their suppliers and trust their commitment to ethical practices. As their suppliers and mills are small businesses they do not hold a fair trade certification however, they work under fair trade standards.
KOHR commit to actively seek improvements in their sustainable, ethical and diversity practices through continual research and adjusting standards.

PLANET
KOHR are committed to producing garments using sustainably and ethically sourced materials, and ensuring garments have a longer life span than fast fashion garments.
They are a made to order brand crafting timeless staples from organic and sustainable materials.
Why made to order? It reduces over production and consumption which reduces the fashion industry’s impact on the climate emergency.
All of their garments are manufactured within 20 miles from KOHR'S head office in Lancashire.
Their main fabric supplier is based in Wales UK who supplies 85% of KOHR'S fabrics. Their Wales supplier is based on the Dyfi Eco Park in a highly insulated unit with 110 solar panels on the roof. Dyfi Eco Park was an early adopter of sustainable energy sources 18 years ago. They are a small company so they are not accredited, but their fabric manufacturers are GOTS accredited and OEKO-TEX.
Their second supplier is based in Berlin, Germany where they use carbon neutral shipping methods. They are accredited as a GOTS certified supplier and the fair for life standard accreditation.
Water consumption within the fashion industry is a huge problem. KOHR consciously choose fabrics to help reduce their water consumption.
90% of their materials are natural and un-dyed meaning water consumption is less than those that are dyed. Their cotton is organically grown which is significantly more sustainable and ethical, as it protects our environment and the farmers from pesticides and vast water consumption.
Their organic bamboo is manufactured in a closed loop system, meaning any waste used is recycled and used again. They also use fabrics like organic hemp and linen that do not require the same amount of water as conventional cotton to produce.

1 order = 1 tree planted
KOHR care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature which is why they partner with One Tree Planted, to plant a tree for every order. One Tree Planted is a nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation.

ANIMALS
KOHR makes products that are free of animal materials.
Their organic cotton is grown without using the harmful pesticides and produces around 46% less CO2e, therefore better for animals and communities surrounding their farms.
