FABRICS & MATERIALS

RECYCLED YARN

Jorgen House work with an Italian mill who collect waste material left over from the production 'floor'. This pre-consumption waste is materials that are unusable in any other way and would have been disposed of as external waste. The discarded nylon materials are recast using a regeneration process which is then integrated back into threads for knitting. Every kilo of this yarn saves 100 litres of gas oil. This is a highly ecological product which aims to reduce CO2 emissions, consumes less water and uses renewable energy.

MODAL

Modal fabric is a bio-based manmade fabric, made by spinning cellulosic fibres.

Jorgen House use Modal knit from non-endangered certified forests.

ORGANIC COTTON

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers. It often uses less water than conventional cotton farming, and emphasises crop rotation, composting, and other sustainable practices that improve soil fertility and biodiversity. Since no harmful chemicals are used, organic cotton farming helps preserve natural ecosystems and protect wildlife.

MAGNETIC FASTENINGS

Clever features include strong, yet barely noticeable, innovative magnetic fasteners that can be done up with one hand, and a magnetic gusset for ultimate comfort down below too.
