The Beaumont Organic Foundation
A foundation founded by their CEO Hannah Beaumont-Laurenica in 2008 which has supported a number of projects in Fiji over this time. Since 2015 the foundation has been working alongside The Loloma Trust to provide funding for renovations of the hospital in Taveuni.
Most recently their donations helped fund a roof to help protect important surgical supplies and staff members from the unpredictable Fijian weather.
PLANET
Beaumont Organic are inspired by making changes and paving a way for fashion to have a more sustainable future. They do this by asking questions around their process, producing ethically, reducing wastage where they can and constantly finding ways to be more transparent.
Since they launched in 2008, organic cotton has been at the core of their collection. No pesticides are used in its production, which means local water supply and air quality is far less polluted than producing standard cotton. The fabric is also super soft and durable as it has had no contact with harsh chemicals.
They also continue to explore new areas of sustainability by introducing new fibres and yarns including recycled cotton fibres into their knitwear and seaweed based technology into their woven checked fabrics.
Low miles equals low impact. This is why 87% of their garments are spun, woven, dyed, sewn and finished using suppliers within a 300 mile radius of Braga, Portugal, minimising our carbon emissions.
Since 2021 they have also moved to using a Portuguese warehouse, further reducing the footprint of their operations.
ANIMALS
Beaumont Organic makes products that are free of animal materials.
Organic farming is also proven to support biodiversity and wildlife, protect animal welfare (and reduce exposure to pesticides for the farmers and the land they farm).
